Ruby is one of the most coveted of gems. The name is derived from the Latin word rubeus, meaning “red” – the colour of love and passion. Long treasured for its rarity, hardness, beauty, and aura of mysticism, the ruby was also believed to predict misfortune or danger and soothe inflammation and anger. Rubies have been prized throughout the centuries and today, they symbolise passion, love, and commitment, and are the gemstone given on 40th wedding anniversaries.
Delphinium, also known as Larkspur, represents the month's vibrant energy and serene beauty. These flowers are like colourful fireworks in your garden, shooting up in shades of blue, purple, pink, and white. They're tall and elegant, adding a touch of magic to any summer celebration. Delphiniums are said to symbolise joy, warmth and fun.
